Tomruk Innovations is focused on teaching people how they can use social media responsibly and productively.

Technology is continuously changing how we live. I remember growing up in a small city in Lagos state, it took our generation up until secondary school before we really got exposed to social media. Seeing kids today, I believe a lot has changed. New technologies are springing up everyday; making our lives easier and better. Technology has provided an equal playing ground for everyone - Social Media being the most disruptive of all.

Social media has changed our lives in amazing ways. These days, I can be in my house in Jos and be following an event happening in South Africa, France or Germany or a football game in England. It has also started creating careers that were non existent 10 years ago. A lot of individuals get paid to help organizations manage their social media accounts. Who could have imagined all these about 15, 20 years ago?

A team of young founders have recognized the importance of these platforms and are focusing on using these platforms to transform the lives of as many people as possible.

I had a meeting on the 7th of August 2017 with the founder/social innovator at Tomruk Innovations Mr Job David and his fiancee Miss Morenike, where we got to discuss what they have been doing and their plans for the future.

The team is focused on creating a dynamic and professional working environment that is centered around social entrepreneurship,  social innovation and sustainability because they truly believe the right collaborations will help businesses and individuals accelerate their growth, thereby helping to improve the lives of the people around them.

The team has successfully conducted social media presentations and training for over 3000 staff, corp members, missionaries and pastors. They have also succeeded in organizing various social media events around Plateau State, Kaduna State, Ogun State, and Abuja.

The tech ecosystem in Jos is still at it's infancy, but we are fast growing. Since the launch of the first tech hub in Northern Nigeria nHub, other startups are gradually springing up in plateau state. The team at Tomruk Innovations are teaching people how they can use social media to better improve their lives and their community.

With a population of over 3 million, the people in Plateau state are slowing turning to technology as the main driver of innovation in the state. Startups solving real life problems are springing up in every corner around Jos. More and more people are learning new ways they can use technology to better improve the quality of life around here and Tomruk innovations is doing it's best to train more individuals on ways they can use social media and other digital tools to better improve lives.
